FAQ

Short answers about uploading, results, Review Credits and your data.

Getting started

Who can use UTe1?

Organizations with a documented, lawful business purpose, and their authorized users: for example collections and recovery, service and support, finance and credit, and compliance and risk teams. UTe1 is not for personal or casual use. Request access with accurate organization details and a working company email address, then confirm it with the code sent to that address. A new account starts with no Review Credits.

What do I upload?

A spreadsheet in CSV or XLSX format, using the UTe1 template, which you can also download from the Product page. Full Name is needed for a record to be checked. The other fields are optional, and each one you add gives the check more to compare: Reference / Account Number, Nationality, Company / Employer, Email ID, Mobile No., Current City / Location and Date of Birth or Age. Your browser turns a date of birth into an age before anything is sent, so UTe1 never receives the date. One file can hold up to 300 records and be up to 5 MB.

Does UTe1 contact the people on my list?

No. UTe1 reads public pages only. It does not contact anyone on your behalf, sign in to any account, read private messages, open private pages or use private databases. It does not add new contact details to your records.

Which companies and methods does UTe1 use?

UTe1 uses trusted service providers to host the website, send account emails, and read and review public pages. We do not publish their names or the exact search methods, because that protects your data and the service from misuse. Providers receive only what they need to carry out your request, and your lists and results are never sold. If your organization needs more for its own review, ask through the Contact page and choose A privacy question.

Understanding results

What do the grades mean?

Full match means a public page agrees on the name and the other details you supplied. Likely match means the main details agree but one differs or can't be confirmed. Possible match means the name agrees and little else does. Not found means no reliable public page was found. See What each grade means.

Is a Full match proof of identity?

No. Full match and Likely match are leads to check at the source. Open the link, confirm the details and decide. Results are findings with evidence, not guaranteed facts. A person on your team should review them before any important decision.

What if my list has very common names?

A name alone fits many people, so a record with only a name rarely goes beyond a Possible match. Add Company / Employer and Current City / Location. Each detail you add gives the check more to compare.

Can I check a record again?

Yes. Add it to a new file and upload it. It is checked as a new record and uses a Review Credit, because it is a new check. If the first result was a Possible match, add more details first.

How is the source link chosen?

UTe1 compares public pages with the details you supplied and links the page that agrees with the most of them. Open the link and judge it yourself.

What if the public page is wrong or out of date?

A result shows what the page said when it was checked. Open the link and confirm that the page is current before you act. If a result looks wrong, see the question about a result that looks wrong.

How long does a file take?

It depends on the number of records and on how busy the public sources are. Progress is shown in your account while the file is being checked.

How can I tell that a Result file has not been changed?

Every Result file is sealed by UTe1. Use Verify a Result. The check runs in your browser, and no names, contact details or findings leave your computer.

A result looks wrong. What should I do?

Do not act on it. Send us a message through Contact and include the campaign reference shown on the Integrity sheet.

Pricing and Review Credits

How much does it cost?

You pay for each submitted record, in UAE dirhams (AED), however many checks it needs. The price per record and the smallest and largest order are on the Pricing page.

What uses a Review Credit?

One Review Credit covers one record with a completed check or a delivered result, whether or not a match is found. The full rule is on the Pricing page.

Your data and privacy

How long are my files kept?

Campaign files are removed from our live systems 24 hours after the campaign ends. Download your Result and Summary files within that time, because they can't be recovered afterwards. Backup copies expire automatically within 30 days.

Who can see my results?

Only the account that ran a campaign can view or download its results and files. Administrators manage the service but can't open uploaded records, results or downloads.

Do you sell my data?

No. Your lists and results are never sold.
