Terms of Use
The conditions for using UTe1.
Conditions of access and use
These public terms set out the general conditions for using UTe1.
- A signed agreement or order may add to or replace these terms. Where they conflict, the signed agreement applies.
- By requesting access, signing in, or using UTe1 you accept these terms, the Acceptable Use rules, and the Privacy Policy.
Accounts and registration
UTe1 is for organizations and their authorized users.
- Request access with accurate organization and contact details and a working company email address, and confirm it with the code sent to that address.
- A new account starts with no Review Credits. Review Credits are added by order.
- Credentials are personal and must not be shared. UTe1 may refuse, suspend, or close an account where details are inaccurate or misuse is suspected.
Organization authority
The organization is responsible for ensuring that submitted records are lawfully obtained, relevant, accurate, and authorized for the documented campaign purpose.
- It must manage user permissions, required notices, legal bases, retention, and resulting actions in line with applicable law, contract and internal policy.
The service
UTe1 helps authorized teams check publicly available information connected with records they submit, and returns evidence-supported findings with source links.
- UTe1 is designed for laptop and desktop computers. It can’t be opened on phones or tablets.
Service operation
Processing time, availability, public-information coverage, and features may vary.
- Account limits, maintenance, or temporary restrictions may apply.
- UTe1 may improve, change or withdraw features with reasonable notice where practicable.
Results and decisions
Outputs are evidence-support information, not guaranteed identity confirmation, legal advice, or an automatic decision.
- The organization must weigh the uncertainty and remains responsible for any action taken.
Review Credits and fees
The price, validity, payment and refund rules on the Pricing page apply, unless a signed agreement says otherwise.
- One Review Credit covers one record with a completed check or a delivered result, whether or not a match is found.
- Prices are in UAE dirhams (AED).
- A signed agreement may replace these rules for your organization.
Your data and deletion
Campaign files are removed from our live systems 24 hours after the campaign ends.
- Download your Result and Summary files within that time. They can't be recovered afterwards.
- See the Privacy Policy for who can open results, what is kept and for how long.
Security obligations
Users must protect credentials, devices, submitted-record information, campaign results, and downloaded files.
- Limit access to authorized personnel, follow applicable retention and deletion requirements, and promptly report suspected compromise or unauthorized use.
Acceptable use
Use must follow the Acceptable Use rules.
- Attempts to bypass safeguards, misuse personal information, interfere with the service, or share unauthorized access may lead to restriction or termination.
Third-party platforms and sources
UTe1 is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any search engine, social platform or website.
- All names and trademarks belong to their owners.
- What public sources show depends on those third parties and on what people have chosen to publish. UTe1 does not control it.
Intellectual property
UTe1 and its licensors retain all rights in the service, its design, guidance, and related materials.
- You may not copy, reverse engineer, extract, or resell the service or how it works.
- Submitted records and permitted downloads remain subject to applicable rights and contractual responsibilities.
Suspension and termination
Access may be restricted to address security, non-payment, misuse, legal requirements, or material breach.
- Termination does not remove obligations relating to prior use, confidentiality, payment, or downloaded data.
- An account that has never recharged or run a campaign is paused 6 months after it is created. An account in use is paused after 12 months without activity. An account that holds unexpired Review Credits is not paused. A notice is sent 30 days before, and nothing is deleted. See Your data and deletion.
Liability and warranties
Service commitments and limits of liability are governed by the applicable agreement and mandatory law.
- UTe1 is provided as available. No public statement is a guarantee that evidence will exist or be current for every record.
- Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.
Governing law and disputes
Unless a signed agreement says otherwise, the laws of the United Arab Emirates apply, and the competent courts of the United Arab Emirates decide any dispute. This does not remove any right that the mandatory law of your own country gives you and that can't be waived by agreement.
General
These terms, with any signed agreement and the policies they refer to, are the whole agreement for use of UTe1.
- If part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
- UTe1 is not liable for delay or failure caused by events beyond its reasonable control.
- An organization may not transfer its rights under these terms without UTe1’s written consent.
Changes
The service and these public terms may be updated.
- Material contractual changes will be handled through the applicable agreement or authorized notification channel.
Contact
Questions about commercial or contractual terms should be raised with the form on the Contact page, or, when signed in, from Account, then Support.
Privacy Policy
How personal information is handled.
Who we are and how to contact us
UTe1 (“we”) provides its service at www.ute1.com.
- For privacy questions or requests, use the form on the Contact page and choose “A privacy question”.
- Approved organizations generally decide why records are submitted and act as controllers for those records. UTe1 processes those records on their documented instructions.
- UTe1 acts as controller for account administration, security, billing, support and legal-compliance information.
- We process personal information in line with the data-protection laws that apply to us.
Information we process
UTe1 processes only what is needed to provide and protect the service. It falls into five groups.
- Account and organization details. Name, organization, address, country, work email, User ID, the record of accepting these terms, and technical details used to protect the request.
- Campaign input. The fields of the approved spreadsheet that your organization chooses to submit: reference or account number, full name, nationality, company or employer, email ID, mobile number, current city or location, and age. If you supply a date of birth, your browser turns it into an age before anything is sent, and UTe1 never receives the date.
- Campaign results. Source links, grades and reasons, outcome status, and whether the details you supplied were supported, together with the feedback notes shown in your files.
- Service records. Review Credits, orders, payments, the campaign log, exports, and support communications.
- Security and technical records. Activity records used to protect accounts and investigate misuse.
- Contact messages. If you use the Contact form, we process your name, email address, organization, topic and message so we can reply. They are not added to any account. Each message is deleted automatically after 90 days.
Why we process it and on what basis
We process information to run the service for approved organizations and to keep it safe.
- To create and verify accounts, sign users in, and keep sessions secure.
- To run authorized public-source campaigns, recover interrupted campaigns, and deliver results.
- To manage Review Credits, orders, limits, billing, and reconciliation.
- To prevent fraud and abuse, keep audit records, provide support, and meet legal obligations.
- The basis is performance of our agreement with the organization, the organization’s documented instructions, our legitimate interest in security and service integrity, legal obligation and, where the law requires it, consent.
Cookies and browser storage
UTe1 uses strictly necessary session and security cookies, together with temporary browser-session information, to protect signed-in areas, prepare authorized campaign records, reconnect results and confirm authorized actions.
- These technologies are not used for advertising or cross-site tracking. See the Cookie & Storage Notice for detail.
Service providers and cross-border processing
UTe1 and its trusted service providers host the website, send account emails, and read and review public pages.
- These providers receive only the details they need to carry out your request. We never sell personal information, uploaded lists or results to any third party.
- These providers may operate outside the country of the organization or of UTe1. Where information is handled in more than one country, we rely on the safeguards the applicable law requires, the service agreement, and our providers’ commitments.
- UTe1 does not crawl or index websites. After a search, it opens only the individual public pages that the search returned, and only a small number per search. It does not follow links through a site, sign in, bypass captchas or open private, account or payment pages. UTe1’s own reader checks the site’s robots.txt first and does not open a page when the site asks not to be read; such a page may then be opened by our page-reading provider, under that provider’s own terms. Page requests identify UTe1-Reader (www.ute1.com) and send only the page address, never information from your records.
- UTe1 uses a human check from a security provider on sign-in, Request Access, password recovery and Contact forms to stop automated abuse.
Retention
Retention depends on the category and purpose of the record.
- Uploaded information and results stay available to you for 24 hours after the campaign ends, so you can download your Result and Summary files. They are then removed from our live systems, and backup copies expire automatically within 30 days.
- Source links and review notes are deleted together with the campaign’s results.
- After deletion, the records you submitted are no longer kept in our live systems. Only the campaign log (reference, name, dates, status, number of records, outcome counts, and Review Credits used) is kept for 365 days for reporting and billing, together with anonymous service-performance figures that are not linked to any person, user or campaign.
- Administrators cannot see the people or details you search for. We keep only anonymous figures about which search steps worked, so the order of searches can improve. These figures hold no names, emails, mobile numbers, employers or file contents.
- Security and download records are normally kept for one year. Records of sensitive administrative actions may be kept longer to protect their integrity.
- Access requests that are not completed are deleted automatically. Account records are kept while the account is active and for as long afterwards as law, contract, or legitimate security needs require.
- Financial and contractual records are kept for the period required by accounting, tax, contractual, or legal obligations.
- Your organization remains responsible for controlling, retaining, and deleting the files it downloads.
- An account paused for inactivity is not deleted. It is kept under the same rules as any other account record.
Deletion
Campaign files are deleted on the schedule set out under Retention. Some account, payment and service records need to remain.
- Service providers keep their own records under their own terms.
- Deleting a campaign does not remove copies your organization has downloaded.
- For other deletion requests, use the Contact page. The organization and authority involved must be confirmed before the request can be assessed, including any records that must be kept.
Accuracy, automated processing and human review
Your organization must submit only relevant, accurate, and lawfully obtained data for an approved business purpose.
- UTe1 results come from automated checking and grading of public information. They are findings with evidence, not guaranteed facts.
- UTe1 is meant to assist, support and speed up human checks. It does not promise complete or 100% accurate results.
- UTe1 does not make decisions about individuals. Results must be reviewed by an authorized person before any important decision is made.
- Public information can be incomplete, out of date or wrong, and a field is left blank when reliable evidence is missing.
Security
Only the account that ran a campaign can view or download its results and files.
- Administrators manage the service but can't open uploaded records, results or downloads.
- Connections to UTe1 are encrypted and access is limited to approved accounts.
- If a personal-data breach affects information we hold, we will notify the organization concerned, and the authorities where the law requires, without undue delay.
- No online service can guarantee absolute security.
Individual rights
Depending on applicable law, individuals may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to or obtain information about the processing of their personal information, and to withdraw consent.
- If your details were checked. An approved organization submitted them for checking against public information. UTe1 looks only at pages anyone can open, and keeps only the campaign log described under Retention.
- Requests about a submitted record should normally go first to the organization that submitted it. The Contact page explains how a request reaches UTe1.
- UTe1 supports verified controller requests and responds directly where UTe1 is the responsible controller. We respond within the time the law allows.
- We may need to confirm identity before acting, and may decline requests the law permits us to decline.
Children
UTe1 is for approved organizations and is not intended for use by anyone under 18.
- Organizations should not submit records about individuals under 18 unless they have a clear lawful basis and authority to do so.
Requests and complaints
Send privacy or deletion inquiries with the form on the Contact page, or from Account, then Support when signed in.
- Include the campaign reference or account User ID, and nothing more than is needed to identify the matter. Do not send passwords, verification codes, or whole exports.
- If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the competent data-protection authority.
Changes to this policy
Material changes will be shown on this page and, where appropriate, communicated through the service or the contract channel.
- Last reviewed: November 7, 2026.
- Read this policy together with the applicable service agreement.
Acceptable Use
What UTe1 may and may not be used for.
Permitted and expected use
Use UTe1 only for your organization and a documented, lawful business purpose.
- Submit information that the organization is authorized to process and that is relevant to the campaign.
- Limit access to authorized personnel with a genuine operational need.
- Review the grade, the reason, the uncertainty and the source before acting.
- Protect credentials, campaign information, and exported files.
- Follow applicable law, contract, professional duties and internal policy.
- Report suspected security issues, incorrect access, or material result concerns promptly.
Prohibited activities
The following are not allowed.
- Surveillance, stalking, harassment, intimidation, discrimination, or personal curiosity.
- Submitting stolen, deceptive, unlawfully obtained, malicious or irrelevant information, or records of children without a clear lawful basis.
- Using outputs as the sole basis for legal, credit, employment, enforcement, or similarly significant decisions.
- Contacting a person, or sending unsolicited marketing, in breach of law or without appropriate authority and checking.
- Attempting to bypass authentication, account limits, campaign controls, audit, monitoring, or other safeguards.
- Using automated tools to access UTe1, or attempting to copy, extract or reverse engineer the service or how it works.
- Sharing accounts, reselling access, impersonating another user, or allowing unauthorized third-party use.
- Uploading harmful files, attempting unauthorized access, or disrupting the service.
- Presenting possible findings as guaranteed facts.
- Publishing or distributing submitted records, evidence or exports beyond the approved purpose, or building a database from them for resale.
Legal compliance
Users remain responsible for complying with the laws that apply to them, including those on personal data, cybercrime, and electronic communications.
Consequences and reporting
Suspected misuse may result in investigation, sign-out from active sessions, campaign restrictions, account suspension or termination, and any other action the law or agreement requires.
- Report a concern with the form on the Contact page, or Account, then Support. Give enough context to identify the event, but do not send passwords, verification codes, or unnecessary submitted records.
Cookie & Storage Notice
What UTe1 stores on your device.
Strictly necessary cookies
UTe1 uses strictly necessary cookies to keep signed-in sessions secure and to confirm that protected actions come from the correct session.
- These cookies are not used for advertising.
Session storage
Temporary sign-in and page state may be stored for the current browser tab or session.
- The website clears its working copy of uploaded information and results when you sign out, your session expires, or you leave the page.
- Browser-managed session storage is normally removed when the tab session ends.
- Browser privacy settings that block necessary storage may prevent sign-in or other page features from working.
Local storage and caches
UTe1 does not keep uploaded records as a persistent browser draft.
- Temporary sign-in information may remain for the current browser tab. Your browser may also keep copies of public pages, images, fonts, and styles to help the website load.
- Your Workspace and administration information is not saved for offline use.
- The Pricing page remembers the currency you choose to view, US dollars or dirhams. This choice stays in your browser and is never sent to UTe1.
No advertising or recording cookies
UTe1 does not use advertising cookies, heatmaps, session replay, or third-party behavioral analytics.
- Browser identifiers are not sold or used to follow users across unrelated websites.
- The human check from a security provider runs only on sign-in, Request Access, password recovery and Contact forms. It tells people from automated programs and is not used for advertising.
Your choices
Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent sign-in or protected actions.
- If sign-in or another action is not confirmed, check your connection and browser settings before trying again.
- Because these cookies are strictly necessary, no consent banner is shown.
Changes to this notice
This notice may be updated when the service changes.
